Poetry of the Personality

As you may or may not know, i have been working in the back ground on a new online class being hosted by the very talented Tiffany Goff Smith in her Creative Academy, called Personality of a Paperdoll. (there is a coupon code: PAPERPLAY- $10 0ff through midnigh CST 3/19)

Interesting where i started this class and where i ended; and the journey between.

So thankful for the journey.

As I worked and played. Cut and Glued. And the ladies in my book really came to be….. this story, or poetry, began telling itself to me.

i turned around, and the soft whirl of the electric typewriter matched my soul and easily bounced through my fingers and almost typed itself.

I love the misspells.

The mis-reach of the finger on autopilot.

maybe ahead, (or behind my mind?!). i don’t know. and I don’t care because either way- the fingers were reaching, striking its’ own letters to write this.

is it talking about one girl? Or maybe a group of girls. This group of girls.

I put my initials and the year.

I probably should put the whole date, but I am leaving the fun of discovery. and space.

If sometime, years from now, someone stumbles across this book full of dolls and looks through the content of the pocket…..- Let them make up a story.

let them wonder about the misspelled words and the odd mix of adjectives and this lovely piece of poetry at the back of a book full of dolls.

Just thinking about this discovery brings a smile to my face and heart.

pieces of me.

traces.

dna.

so many strings to so many pieces, somehow all tied together.
