Eco dying- tip, pt 2

This is part two of my eco dying journey here. This will be gathering leaves, weeds, grasses, etc, bundling and getting the bundles into the cookers.

If you missed part one where I made the modifier solution- you can find it here. And if you are interested in viewing the results from Fargo- those are here.

There is plenty of information about the gathering process on the internet. I just gathered from my own back yard. Some people will take notes of the type of plant/ tree so that maybe they could replicate results, but, you know I kinda fly by the seat of my pants….. so I am good with whatever happens.

Prior to your bundling, I did allow all of my trimmings to soak in a bowl. Tepid water- not hot. not cold. There is some discussion if this is helpful or not, but it was one of the step we did while I was in Fargo and our results were very pleasing, so I am simply passing along the process we followed. The other thing I would like to note is that there may be a benefit to using some of the water that the leaves soaked in. I am thinking instead of adding fresh water to my cookers, I should try using the leaf water….. just a thought as I am typing this up for you.

I will get the unbundling done and posted soon- sooner than this one.

Without further delay, let’s get to the video….. *Please do remember- this is outdoor cooking.
