Paint Drizzles

Was supposed to be color swatching.

You know….color + black or white, or some other color.

Almost immediately, totally off the rails.

Sprinting.

Full speed.

Like I hardly stood a chance.

It happened so quickly.

And the funny thing was I had all intentions of swatching AND mixing on a plate.

Oh.

Silly girl.

The next thing I knew, I am grabbing colors and caps are coming off.

Paint was being drizzled off of a palette knife.

(did I tell you this is a “roll” of paper….maybe for an adding machine?)

A couple feet of said paper…. maybe a yard?

The paper plate is being pushed out of the way.

I am dipping fingers into my fresh paint to remove said paint.

I do love finger print polka dots.

Using a pencil to draw through….

Spraying with water to wash away.

Leaving behind what I had started with.

Joy.

Pure joy.

Seeing bits of this roll.

It had to dry.

Like overnight.

Wet from paint and being repeatedly sprayed with water.

And in the morning.

Utter delight in what would be discovered.

Is it all great? No.

But are there bits that are wonderful? Yes.

Happy wonderful beautiful accidents.

I did share a reel with some of the fun. Click here to see.
