Slow pace of Creating
Feel the need to push paint around.
A wooden cradle is close at hand.
Simple enough.
First layer. Pencil. Fingerprints. Collage.
Large single color.
Couldn’t resist the urge to scratch through. (marks)
And I do love a fatty watercolor pencil in a delicious color.
Let that muddle and mix.
Let dry.
Completely.
In fact, set aside; cuz there is that nagging question… is this done?
Likely no. (It is no. I already know… silly question.)
Looking at the piece…. I am like, “You know what this needs?” and my mind is already there and the arm is reaching for the matte medium and magazine.
It is a favorite tool in my creative tool box.
And then, one morning you wake up and have an itch for spray paint. (and this must be scratched cuz my mind is yelling at me…)
I did have to trial on a couple things prior to my painting….. I am dangerous with a can of spray paint. You saw my thumb right?!
Now this can sit for a bit.
I will say here as much for myself as for anyone else reading. Final steps may take time.
No rush.
No hurry.
I am giving permission for things to sit a spell and be picked up later.
My mind likes to contemplate things in the background…..and once it lands on something- (like the spray paint)- then it may yell a bit to get my attention when it knows what it wants to do.
Take your time. Slow down. Appreciate what you have done and what it is asking for.
Add one thing at a time.
I am (and hopefully you are….) looking for the “love.”
I can easily like something.
But…..you should love it.
When you love it…. That is when you know you are done.
So when I added the darks…. I knew.
Thanks for reading (and watching).

Ps- did you like the buttons with links or just links added to words?…. asking for a friend. Lol.
