After being a student in a collage class in 2019, I made a huge discovery on my creative journey….. 

I was in class, and brought a question to our teacher. This was a one on one conversation. I simply walked up while we were working and asked my question. Which she promptly provided an answer for. And, I greatly appreciated.

What I learned was- I have always been a painter. At that point in time, I felt like I had somehow lost my painting voice. I was taking this class to find this painting voice. I know I said this was a collage class…. Which technically, it was. But our instructor also spent a fair amount of time discussing painting and merging paint and collage. And how she merged the two and what she called the work.

Which brings me back to the discovery. Sometimes, it is just as much about the conversation as it is about the work. You NEED the conversation. The discussion. AND the work. To move the creative journey forward. You need to hear things. I mean I suppose you can simply paint and paint and paint. But, if you don’t know the foundation of art AND you never discuss art; it is hard to move the needle. 

This class is really about having creative conversations. Moving the creative needle.

Yes, this class will mainly concentrate on conversations, AND you will have “homework” to do on the off week. So, if you are even mildly worried about the word homework and what that time commitment may be….. I would politely and in the kindest way, ask you to wait on taking this class. 

Other teachers may say- of course this is a work at your own speed…., and take your money….but, I am saying- if you are not prepared to be on camera during the discussions, AND to do your homework.

I do not want your money. Save your money for something else. 

I will need you to be engaged. To ask questions. To provide input and share your opinion. To listen. And most importantly, for you to be willing to do the homework.

This first session will focus on Inspiration and Inventory with live calls held Saturday, January 10th AND Saturday, January 24th at 9am CST.

*The live calls WILL NOT be recorded as participation is the expectation.

**Also, the $55.00 is for ONE Session only. As the other sessions become available, you will need to purchase each session individually.

Session two will focus on Color and Composition with live calls held on Saturday, February 7th AND Saturday, February 21st at 9am CST.

Third session will focus on Collage and Exploration with live calls held on Saturday, March 14th AND Saturday, March 28th at 9am CST.
