pushing outside the comfort zone
it is always surprising to me when I am able to push past the “like” stage- you know this stage- you have worked so hard on that first layer and you really like it, but…….
the question is always do you LOVE it?…….
and whether that answer is yes or no….one layer is almost no longer ok. you need to push past and keep working.
nothing can be sacred in that first layer.
and to really build character in your work, you need to keep going. paint over that first layer. glue more paper down. do more doodles.
and push outside of that comfort zone to find that spot where you love your piece.
