Side by Side
It always starts so innocently.
Just takes a quick glimpse.
A spark.
Our guest artist over at The Ugly Art Club- Tracey Wozniak…..
Her lesson.
Mix of paper and fabric.
Enough said right?!
I only made a small collage and fabric piece. Like 3” x 4”.
Gathered off my desk.
Mainly….
With a few things picked from the floor. Lol.
You never know. Gotta keep your options open.
I wasn’t even going to use this beginning piece because I liked it well enough.
And, totally meant to throw it through the sewing machine, but honestly, it didn’t make it to the machine.
Sometimes there is an abrupt left turn, because I remembered I had scored some rectangle wooden blocks from the thrift store…..
The shape is what drew me in.
Immediately…..it is not a square block.
And then, I was off to the races. Fingers full of glue.
Carefully cutting the edges to fit the rectangular wood.
Using my collage/ fabric piece……Such a nice mix of paper and fabric.
I added a smidge more fabric. A bit more paper to fill the edges.
The wood could be stacked.
But these really need to be viewed.
